Rules of Membership

General Member


Any major individual of sound mind and integrity having unflinching faith in the aims and objectives of the Hind Life and Education Trust, Patna (India) can become its General Member. The membership fee for such members shall be Rs.25000 per year, subject to revision from time to time. The membership fee for individual living and working outside India will be US$1000 payable at a time to the Trust.



Donor Member

Any person of good integrity donating Rs. 50,000 or more in cash or kind shall be enrolled as a donor member of the Trust and will be invited to the annual meeting of the Trust. An NRI can also become a donor member by paying US$2000 to the Hind Life and Education Trust.

Any institution or organization donating Rs.100,000 or more in cash or kind shall be enrolled as a donor member enjoying a privileged status in the Trust. Any institution or organization operating outside India can become a donor member by paying a lumpsum amount of US$4000 to the Trust.

Honorary Member

Any person of a remarkable achievement in any field of knowledge, creativity, performance, work or service subscribing to the aims and objectives of the Trust may be enrolled as an Honorary Member without paying any fee. Such members may attend important meetings of the Trust and offer suggestions at times.

Patrons

Eminent persons of proven excellence and exemplary caliber in any field of knowledge, creativity, performance, work or service may be nominated as Patrons of the Trust. Patrons may be invited to attend important meetings.

Procedure for Enrolment of a Member

Persons or institutions or organizations (except the Honorary Members and the Patrons) desirous of being enrolled as members shall apply to the Chairman of the Trust giving their particulars on a prescribed application form. The Trust shall deal with all kinds of such applications and grant membership by a majority decision. The board of trustees reserves to itself the right to accept, continue or deny membership to any individual, institution or organization without assigning any reason whatsoever and its decision shall be final.


Termination of Membership

Any member of the Trust, who works against the interests, objectives, and reputation of the Trust will cease to be its member. The trustees shall have full power to take such a decision. A member may also resign from the membership of the Trust any time by a letter addressed to the chairman of the Trust either in writing or by email.
